The Allied governments were all officially notified of the National Socialist Plan to exterminate the Jewish
population of Europe by their ally, the Polish Government in exile in London on December 10, 1942.
This fact makes Allied inaction even more inexplicable...if they really believed the tale.

And therefore neither should we.In August 1943, Poland’s government-in-exile
lobbied the British and American governments to is-
sue a public statement condemning “German terror
in Poland.” A draft for such a statement included ref-
erences to mass execution in gas chambers. That is
where Britain’s psychological warfare experts
stepped on the brake, vetoing this with clear words,
and succeeded in getting all these references re-
moved. Victor Cavendish-Bentinck, the Chairman of
the Allied Joint Intelligence Committee, stated in this
regard:
“In my opinion it is incorrect to describe Polish
information regarding German atrocities as
trustworthy’. The Poles, and to a far greater ex-
tent the Jews, tend to exaggerate German atroci-
ties in order to stoke us up. They seem to have
succeeded.
Mr Allen and myself have both followed Ger-
man atrocities quite closely. [This is the hint at
radio intercepts.] I do not believe that there is any
evidence which would be accepted in a Law Court
that Polish children have been killed on the spot
by Germans when their parents were being de-
ported to work in Germany, nor that Polish chil-
dren have been sold to German settlers.
As regards putting Poles to death in gas cham-
bers, I do not believe that there is any evidence
that this has been done. There have been many
stories to this effect, and we have played them up
in PWE rumours without believing that they had
any foundation. At any rate there is far less evi-
dence than exists for the mass murder of Polish
officers by the Russians at Katyn. On the other
hand, we do know that the Germans are out to de-
stroy Jews of any age unless they are fit for man-
ual labour.
I think that we weaken our case against the
Germans by publicly giving credence to atrocity
stories for which we have no evidence. These
mass executions in gas chambers remind me of
the stories of employment of human corpses dur-
ing the last war for the manufacture of fat, which
was a grotesque lie and led to the true stories of
German atrocities being brushed aside as being
mere propaganda.”

However, this view of history is somewhat anachronistic. Today it is almost ubiquitous that America invokes humanitarian concerns as a primary reason for us to become embroiled in every single war and conflict we find ourselves in, but that would not have been the case for states one hundred years ago. This is largely, but not entirely, a modern invention.
Jews frequently make offensive arguments about how no one came to their rescue, but it's really not the case that coming to the rescue of foreign civilian populations was any state's moral duty in 1939. Or if it were that case, then that implies the Allied Powers were in fact Holocaust deniers for most of the war.
In an article last year Ron Unz laid out how the "Responsibility to Protect" doctrine was invented in response to coverage of the Rwandan Genocide. A choice quote:

I'll repost a comment I made on RODOH about the Dec 1942 Declaration.
The brochure says that at the AR camps prisoners were "killed by various means, including poison gas and electrocution."
The Polish government in-exile was well aware of the influence Jews had in Britain and America and so they had an incentive around this time to appeal to Jews.
I'll add that in the Raczynski material, they claimed 1M dead (in Poland) which is a lower number than what the WJC was claiming at the time. Curiously, both figures are massively understated according to the current story which requires something like 4.5M dead by the end of the 1942.-The statement did not endorse the two million figure that was being pushed by the WJC at that time.
-The statement did not endorse any of the more fanciful killing methods such as gas chambers and electric floors, nor the human soap factories and other stories Rabbi Wise was spouting.
-In a joint statement on atrocities the next year, a reference to gas chambers was expressly removed from a draft at the request of the British who felt the claim was not well supported.
-The Dec 1942 statement refers to "Hitler's oft-repeated intention to exterminate the Jewish people in Europe" but this claim that the extermination program was public conflicts with the simultaneous claim of tremendous secrecy.
-Behind the scenes, there was considerable skepticism about about these claims and the statement was made only in response to pressure by the WJC in Britain and in the USA. There were private objections to the statement. For instance, R.B. Reams of the State Department remarked: "I have grave doubts in regard to the desirability or advisability of issuing a statement of this nature. In the first place, these reports are unconfirmed and emanate to a great extent from the Riegner letter to Rabbi Wise."
-The State Department stopped forwarding correspondence from the WJC in Switzerland to NY and the State Department's unwillingness to indulge the Zionists sufficiently is what led to the conflict between State and Morgenthau's Treasury. This would eventually lead to the creation of the War Refugee Board.
