Rudolf Vrba - Half Mile Trench Claim

According to Germar Rudolf in the Holocaust Encyclopedia:

Vrba saw an open-air incineration trench “half a mile long and 30 yards wide” being dug at Auschwitz, which is preposterous nonsense.

I have reviewed the Vrba-Wetzler report along with Vrba's mainline publications but I cannot find where he made this claim. Does anybody have a citation for this, or alternatively was this claim made during an interview or testimony?

I will grab a searchable pdf later and take a peak, cursory search leads me to believe it is from this 'work' of his. I believe he may have claimed 'artistic license' for statements in this book and others at the Ernst Zundel trial. I will check the minutes.

If I am incorrect, I apologize. I will get out the shovel and dig more later and try to provide the exact relevant citation. It is unfortunate citation was not provided in the nuke book, the claim merits citation.

You're right that it's wet in the bottom. It's a canal they dug at Neuengamme.
