Another Italian Nazisploitation film that follows the tried and true formula of the genre, complete with prison camp sex slaves, human experiments, and brutal torture. SS Camp 5: Women’s Hell may be one of many from the same ilk of films in the 70’s exploitation era, but it does set itself apart with heavy handed brutality and real concentration camp footage in the opening credits, a stark reminder that though this is a movie, the reality was literal hell for those murdered by the Nazi regime. The torture scenes include burning, finger nail pulls, and skull crushing that give Gestapo’s Last Orgy a real run for it’s money in terms of raw cruelty. There is one scene here not found in any other Nazisploitation film that truly stands out as one of the oddest and that’s when Pam Grier knockoff Alina (Rita Manna) straps on a banana dildo and dances in front of Colonel Strasser. While Strasser is mesmerized by it and obviously turned on, you can’t help but wonder what actually happens since the scene ends without explanation. Strasser’s admission later in the film about being a white man attracted to a black slave girl only further implies that the racial caricatures of black people and bananas is used as some sort of kink for these pure race fascists and they secretly want to be fucked by those they are torturing. Leave it to an Italian trash film to drive home the hypocrisy of hate.
If I were to guess why no t4 personnel were chosen to perform gassing that had experience with gassing, it would be because THERE WERE NONE.

At 4:18 in the video below, make sure you don't miss the hilarious gas van with "false windows painted on it" which were "drawings of people laughing and picnicking."
Interesting. That's very close to this description of a film played for tourists at the Dachau memorial in the 90s.
On a tour of the camp, they saw a movie which told how the Nazis prided themselves on creative ways of exterminating people. Mrs. Vann recalled one such incident where pictures of happy people were painted on the windows of a van. However, a hose was hooked up so the exhaust went into the van and gassed people. Those entering the van had unknowingly thought this was a good place to go.
Also in the movie, residents of the city were interviewed and Mrs. Vann found it difficult to believe when they said they didn't know what was going on. "Couldn't they see it? Couldn't they smell it?" she questioned, adding that an odor still lingers.
"The Vanns' European trip includes a visit to Dachau" by Lynda Frank, published in Jewish Press of Omaha, Nebraska, April 6, 1990, p.44
Probably the same film? Of course no one alleges gas vans at Dachau, so this was really out of place. Plus it's a Hollywood movie, a work of fiction, so why was it shown in a Holocaust museum?
Of recent historical events, few events have been so searing, and thus so difficult to depict faithfully both in nature and scope in film, than the Holocaust perpetrated by the Nazis. This film tells the story of Hollywood's approach to the subject, starting with its initial pre-war reluctance to alienate the lucrative German market. With World War II, and the discovery of the Nazi horrors, we follow Hollywood's reaction over the decades to the atrocity. Challenged with a tragedy that beggared the imagination of artists and audiences, Hollywood grew from trying to keep it in the abstract to striving to depict it head-on in ways that would be both truthful and respectful with the proper humanity.
I was watching a D-Day documentary by the Smithsonian Channel that was on TV this morning while I was eating just to pass the time. I found the documentary posted on YouTube so I will share it here. Relevant time stamp is from 2:25-3:00.
The documentary claims that as of the start of 1944, 2 million people have already been exterminated in Auschwitz, with the number rising as the war goes on. This episode was released in 2017.
For a documentary with a high level of production, how was this piece of information not vetted? It's not factually correct even by mainstream, orthodox standards. This is supposed to be a non-fiction documentary, but seemingly it doesn't fit that criteria.

Probably the writers relied on Höss's confessions or some old history book which referenced them.
This is the problem with the establishment not being forthcoming about their own revisions. People continue to parrot wildly inaccurate death toll numbers because the establishment is afraid to forcefully discredit the original claims.
WW2 movie Kirk Douglas and John Wayne are officers in the US army
At 16:30 Kirk Douglas tells John Wayne "we're been knocking off a lot of guys who've been making soap out of my relatives"

There is a simple reason for not vetting/correcting such claims in documentaries. Whoever does do that will face repercussions being labeled a Holocaust Denier. So people rather leave that. On the other hand they could also do that more vaguely making it more difficult to criticize. After all this isn't about fact and figures, but about emotion and moralistic outrage trying to justify violence against Germans or White Nationalists who will be likened to Nazis.
