Not sure if this is OK for me to do this but I’ll give it a shot…..
I’m new to all of this. I’ve heard about CODOH but didn’t get a chance to peruse the old forum before it got nuked. I dropped by RODOH and saw that this is now active again so I thought I would join so I could discuss how my journey into this subject started.
Mine started about a year ago when I started seeing revisionist information on places like Twitter. Elon Musk seems pretty content to let people post without too much interference. A true commitment to free speech is really important to someone like me, there’s too much censorship.
I came across IHR on Twitter and found a lot of it very intriguing. I read their post on the Holocaust Industry, the Zundel Trial, David Cole and Mark Weber disputing the official narrative on Auschwitz, the persecution of revisionists, etc. I also found a guy named Mark Taylor that posts a lot of revisionist stuff. A lot of it made me question what I learned over the years. Now I’ve found CODOH and I’m working my way through some of the things here. I also found the Reinhardt post from Prudent Regret very enlightening.
Anyway I don’t feel like I know a lot. But I want to follow along and see what others have to say.

That's great. I wasn't expecting any new people yet. I like talking to new people because it's interesting to hear how people think through things when they are coming at it with fresh eyes.

I have a pretty long post on the first page which I won't recreate here. But if I were to really boil it down I would say the main thing, especially early on, was that the Holocaust side was always so absolute and emphatic, insisting that there can be NO doubt and that Holocaust deniers are totally ridiculous, etc. But then you start digging into the arguments and hard evidence and it's IMMEDIATELY obvious that they are bluffing (or at the very least grossly overstating their case). There is a vast chasm between the infallible certainty they claim and the actual strength of their arguments.
Also, I don't know if you saw the Beginner's Guide section of the forum, but I put a bunch of links in the thread "Recommended Material." That's the stuff I found useful. And I'll be adding more to it. There's a placeholder for an FAQ thread as well but it's not quite ready yet.

Mine was when I find out the Americans fabricated the gas chambers at Dachau and that the images of corpses are from camps like Bergen-Belsen and other Western European camps. Other things like the Majdanek numbers being grossly exaggerated also played a part.
I watched a lot of Denier Bud and read many denial works. I also read a lot of HC material which tipped me over the edge in a way. They always get bogged down in personal insults and petty smears not just with deniers but with anyone who does not conform to Western history.
Denying the Holocaust is not "antisemitic". There generally hasn't been a denier who wanted the people in camps to die. Being "antisemitic" is hoping that millions were murdered in order to push an agenda. This is what the Orthodoxy is all about.
It is about justifying the Jewish supremacist state of Israel and the hatefulness of Judaism. Claiming to be a Jew is nothing more than playing the victim card and pretending to be oppressed. Thankfully, people are seeing through Israel's lies and the Holocaust card is gradually losing its power.
