Research Group?

Post by Archie »

I would like to gauge the level of interest in starting some sort of research group. When I say research, I mean publishing articles/monographs/books with new, original findings (as opposed to popularizing classic material). Not everyone has the time or inclination to do this, and that is completely fine and understandable. But if some of you do have goals along these lines and are potentially interested in collaboration, please send me a PM to let me know. Most research topics can of course be discussed openly on the forum (and that is generally preferred). But for a variety of reasons people may also want to get some help or feedback with their research without posting about it on a totally public forum.

In your PM, please give some broad idea of what you are working on or what you want to work on in the near future.

Very good idea, Archie!
I hope that many good things will come out of it.

While I see the need for this, I do realize that this requires quite some capability. But at least one could contribute to research. E.g. by finding copies of documents and uploading it. Another issue would be formulating and weighting the arguments. Finalizing reports is another matter there.
