Right, the claims in Germany proper were withdrawn however. It is thd claims made by the Poles and Soviets that stuck.
I suppose this can be debatable, and there is a great article from Wear;

Jews Control Postwar Holocaust Trials and Narrative

There is also the book from Germar though going over the streamlining and setting of the narrative as it is told today;

Perhaps the reason we are talking past one another is that we are being loose with where we are drawing lines, or perhaps I am being too tight with my resolution on the matter.
Regarding the Soviet Claims, Majdanek is sunk, Auschwitz is damn near sunk, and basically they lean on 'The Holocaust of Bullets' and 'Aktion Reinhardt Murder Mills'.
The good ship Auschwitz still needs to be sent to the iron bottom sound of 'abandoned Holocaust claims', don't get me wrong, but, they have already walked it back almost 3/4's.
What is left of the 'Holocaust Claims' with regard to 'The Holocaust of Bullets' established that there was no order, which should burn the whole thesis down, but, somehow doesn't. With the 'Aktion Reinhardt Murder Mills', they didn't get much 'play' at the IMT.

To be very clear, jews buried soap. They would literally be shouting at clouds if all the camps were retracted like Dachau.
